Skateboarding has been a popular sport for the past 3 decades, and is quite modern. In fact, skateboarding has been around since 1980, which happens to be the year in which the first modern skateboard was made. Since then, both young and the not so young enjoy carving the streets and experiencing the adrenaline rush of free riding, trick skating, and the like.

Skateboarding is deeply influenced by and derivative of the art and sport of surfing. Surfing, which was developed and rooted in Hawaii, is the act of riding waves with a surfboard. Similar to surfing, skateboarding entails riding a skateboard on land, and more specifically, paved or concrete surfaces. Skateboards are made in different styles and made with different skating methods in mind.

If you are a person who likes adventure that is a bit mixed up, like eating a peanut butter and fried banana sandwich, how about a rock climbing cruise? Yep, it really exists to some extent.

The Royal Caribbean International Cruise Line has a whole fleet of ships that feature 30 foot climbing walls. The walls are located two hundred feet above sea level on the upper decks of the ships and the climber has an excellent view to go along with the normal exhilaration of a successful climb. The walls are designed to be excellent for the beginner to use for learning the skill of rock climbing while allowing the expert to overcome its challenges.

You must know some of the simple mathematical calculations before deciding whether to call a bet or fold. When you need an extra card to get your hand, one of the most important abilities is to figure out the pot odds. In other words, how much is the pot offering, compared to the amount you have to pay.

Some basic terms first:

Outs – the number of cards left in the deck that will improve your hand. For example: if you hold As 5s and the flop is Ks, 4s, 3h, it seems that you have 13 outs - 9 spades that will make you a flush and another 4 two’s. But pay careful attention not to count the 2 of spades twice. Therefore you have only 12 outs.

When you say the words scuba diving it brings so many wonderful images to all people, regardless of whether they are divers or not. Who can forget Finding Nemo, Thunderball, the Deep or the Blue Planet series on the BBC? So, even if you have not done it yourself, you have marveled at the underwater world with all of its different fish and marine species like sharks, whales, dolphins and all the weird little things you can find in rivers, lakes and tidal pools to 20,000 leagues under the sea, and the cool thing is unlike the rest of the planet, there is a whole lot more to be discovered.

Archery Deer Drives

Personally, I truly enjoy participating in archery deer drives. It’s a good way to see old friends and meet some new ones. It also gives me a good chance of getting information about new equipment and strategies. Some of the deer drives we have are with just a few of my friends and family and some with an organized bunch of archery hunters from various clubs such as the Michigan Bow Hunters Association or a local club like Bend of the River Conservation Club.
